I’m sitting in one of those stereotypical coffeehouses, surrounded by skinny jeans, tattoos, and Apple products. I love this environment; in fact I work best in this environment. The hustle and bustle of the crowd and the striking conversations
invoke creativity and then…. ideas abound!
I do my best thinking here. My thoughts today keep traveling to a few days ago when I saw the March for Life in Washington, D.C. Many of my friends were in D.C. and were posting pictures of the incredible crowd on their social media outlets. I also saw pictures of America’s first ever sitting president addressing the crowd in real time. I could almost feel the excitement just through viewing the pictures.
I also had friends at the march that took place the next day. The Women’s March was an audacious display of a side of womanhood that honestly ashamed me. Those people do not speak for me; they are not my voice; they do not exemplify even a fraction of the women I know. They represent a very real agenda to further the cause of death in women’s lives, in addition to completely and totally blocking men out of the issue. To promote abortion is to want women and men to continue to experience the aftermath of what abortion brings. In plain English, they want us to continue to choose to kill our own children. There is no way, even in a perfect world, this scenario plays out to benefit women, or anybody, anywhere.
Don’t get me wrong, some women marched for the #metoo movement. I get that. Sexual abuse and trauma are another subject. In fact, I am coming out with a new Bible study this year that deals with this very pain. This book is in the editing phase as we speak!
I’m focused now on stopping the agenda that promotes death in our country. From a bird’s eye view, the end of abortion looks daunting, incomprehensible, and overwhelming. You may not believe you have the tenacity to change the world in such a way. Often times I have called our SaveOne chapter leaders “world changers” because they truly are! The people who teach this study are on the front lines of the abortion issue, changing this world for the better. They are seeing abortion and the cycle of death end in each participant’s life, family, and future. Yes, to me they are world changers.
Imagine a world where we have thousands of world changers no longer allowing the death of children occurring when convenient. How incredible would it be if the Church rose up and realized her power? We would see abortion end quicker than we would know what happened.
We can do this.
It will take all of us though. If you are reading this, all you have to do is start a SaveOne chapter at your church, pregnancy center, or ministry. When we see the issue up close on a personal level instead of from a bird’s eye view, it starts to make sense. We can start to see hope for our world.
I promise you that when we make abortion recovery available at all our churches, we will make abortion unthinkable even before it becomes illegal. That is when politics will follow the Church and not the other way around! God is moving in this ministry. We see it Every. Single. Day.
