We just received the SaveOne Men’s Study in Spanish! WOO HOO! (insert happy dance here) My friend, Brad Mattes, president of Life Issues Institute, planted the seed that made this moment happen, so we are forever grateful to him. We should have the men’s Spanish book printed by the SaveOne Summit. (The women’s study is already printed in Spanish).
Which brings me to the second news, Brad is also one of our speakers at the upcoming Summit happening September 7-9. I hope you have your calendars marked for that weekend! You will receive more details soon. We would love to have you as our guest! But now for the….
BIG BIG NEWS!
As many of you know, SaveOne operates a little differently from most non-profits. We pay no salaries, and most of our services are donated. For example, the national headquarters, where we have been for the last 12 years, has been completely donated to us rent free; we only pay utilities. It’s located in an all brick two-story office park in a great area just north of Nashville. The continuing generosity of our landlord has been astronomical!
This couple is selling the space and has offered it to SaveOne at an unbelievable price, considering Nashville’s real estate market right now. We operate completely debt free and are going to continue that trend, so it is imperative to us that every dollar coming in to reach people goes right back out reaching people.
With that said, we have to raise $150,000 by the end of the year to purchase our headquarters. I believe God spoke clearly that this is what we should do. This amount of money not only purchases the condo, but also pays taxes, association fees, closing costs, etc. We have had $4100 in donations so far, leaving us with $145,900 still to raise.
We are asking, as one of our SaveOne friends, if you would partner with us in this leap of faith to provide a permanent ministry center for SaveOne. Consider requesting that your business, ministry, church, or pregnancy center donate, or even think about donating personally. We are so excited about this endeavor as this launching point is going to give us the opportunity to help men, women, and families recover after abortion on an even greater scale.
